The rules for using Writopus.

Writopus is operated by Alex Pedrol. The final legal name, tax ID and business address will be completed before public launch or paid plans.

Writopus is a teacher tool for correcting B2 First and C1 Advanced writing practice. It helps teachers generate draft marks, comments, inline corrections, student profiles, reports and teaching priorities.

Writopus is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by any exam board.

Writopus is intended for teachers, tutors, schools and academies. It is not intended for direct use by children or students unless a specific student product is launched with appropriate legal safeguards.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

AI-assisted feedback can be useful, but the teacher remains responsible for reviewing, editing and deciding whether the final feedback is appropriate before sharing it with a student, parent, school or third party.

Writopus does not guarantee exam results, official scores, admission decisions or certification outcomes.

If you upload student names, classes, writings, task prompts, feedback or reports, you confirm that you have a valid legal basis and any necessary permissions to process that data through Writopus.

Do not upload unnecessary sensitive data, health information, official identity documents, financial data or content unrelated to writing correction.

If you import a Google Doc, you confirm that you have permission to process the selected document content through Writopus. The import flow reads the selected document text for correction purposes and does not modify the original Google Doc. You should not import documents containing unnecessary sensitive data or content you are not authorised to process.

The processing of student data is also covered by the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Addendum.

You must not use Writopus to:

• Break applicable laws or third-party rights.
• Upload unlawful, harmful, abusive, discriminatory or exploitative content.
• Attempt to bypass plan limits, rate limits, security controls or authentication.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, overload, resell or abuse the service.
• Use generated feedback as an official exam-board assessment.

Writopus may offer Free, Solo, Pro and Academy plans. Each plan may include different correction limits, features and usage allowances.

Paid plans are not active until payments are enabled. When Stripe is connected, billing terms, renewal dates, taxes, invoices, cancellations and plan changes will be shown during checkout or account management.

Teachers may cancel their subscription at any time. A 14-day withdrawal right applies from the date of first purchase as required by applicable Spanish and EU consumer law. After 14 days, subscriptions run until the end of the billing period and are not refunded.

Writopus may suspend or restrict access where usage exceeds plan limits, a payment fails, or the service is being abused.

Writopus is evolving. Features may change, improve, be renamed, enter beta or become part of a different plan. We aim to keep the service reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

We may update the service, these Terms or the plans from time to time. The latest version will be available on this page.

Writopus, its interface, branding, designs, workflows and software are owned by Writopus or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or exploit them outside the normal use of the service.

Teachers and schools keep ownership of the content they submit. You grant Writopus the limited permission needed to host, process and display that content in order to provide the service.

Writopus is provided as a teacher productivity tool. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Writopus is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, educational decisions, exam outcomes, data entered incorrectly by users or misuse of AI-generated feedback.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.

You may stop using Writopus at any time. Writopus may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, abuse the service, fail to pay for a paid plan or create legal/security risk.

Account deletion and data requests are handled according to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

These Terms are governed by Spanish law, unless mandatory consumer or data protection rules require otherwise. The competent courts will be those determined by applicable law.
